Well, it's been a while. I created this blog in 2013, what I remember to be the one of pioneering years of athleisure, when I was bright-eyed and thought it acceptable to wear Nikes sneakers with a black cotton maxi skirt. 2013 was a time I'd purchased one of my first designer pieces, a pair of lilac Philip Lim trousers final sale from ShopBop, that I foolishly entrusted my mother to hem two inches too short. Between four years of haircuts, faulty H&M tops, and ambitions tethering my fickle heart to different directions, I abandoned my project to dark web. I, once an avid reader of style blogs, instead found myself turning to Instagram for inspiration. It seemed all my favorite influential bloggers had shifted platforms once they found a quicker, newer way to cash in. Is there a point in blogging in long form anymore? Is it all just BuzzFeed clickbait-type posts we are looking for? Still, there is something to be valued that can't be crammed into a photo caption. And I intend to retrieve it.
